Mellon Foundation의 Demonstration Project로 최초 기획 됨. 1995년 독립적인 non-for-profit 기관으로 설립 최초 시범 project (University of Michigan)로 Core fields에 속한 2개의 주제분야인 경영과 역사분야의 10종 저널을 온라인 archive 서비스 제공 현재 전세계 2,500개의 도서관에서 구독 중이며 320개 이상의 출판사가 JSTOR를 통해 archive를 제공하고 있음.

Search : Advanced multiple terms 검색 가능 검색어가 포함되어 있는 Fields 선택 multiple terms 검색 가능 full-text, article title, author, caption, abstract의 조합 검색 AND, OR, NOT, Near 5-25 words 등의 Boolean 검색 article type, publication date, language, journal, discipline로 제한 검색 -> 검색대상 선택 -> 검색 대상 년도 지정 -> 검색 대상 언어 선택 -> 저널명으로 검색 검색 대상 주제분야 또는 저널 선택 (여러 주제분야 선택 가능)

Search : ARTstor Results ARTstor 구독기관에서는 image thumbnails과 data를 볼 수 있습니다. ARTstor 미구독기관에서는 image는 볼 수 없고, data만 볼 수 있습니다.

Search : Citation Locator 원문의 정확한 서지사항을 알고 있을 때 유용한 검색 방법 -> 원문명 입력 -> 저자명 입력 -> 저널명 입력 검색대상 저널 선택 (여러 저널 선택 가능) -> ISSN 정보 입력 -> 권, 호 시작 페이지 정보 입력 -> 년도 정보 입력
