2  Admissions Counselors are given a number as to how many students they are allowed to admit each year 입학 상담자들은 대학이 매년 입학 허가 하는 학생들의 숫자를 알려준다.  Counselors look to have a balance of male and female students 상담자들은 남여 학생 수의 균형을 고려한다.  Counselors look for a diversity of students (Geographically, culturally, socioeconomically) 상담자들은 학생들의 다양성을 찾는다. ( 지리적, 문화적, 사회 경제적으로 )

3  Students with special skills or abilities have an advantage (music, drama, athletics) 특별한 기술이나 능력이 있는 학생들은 유리하다. ( 음악, 드라마, 체육 )  Counselors are given a certain percentage of students that must be selected from outside of the United States (Usually around 10%) 상담자들은 미국 밖에서 선발하는 학생들의 확실한 퍼센트를 알려준다. ( 보통 10% 정도 )  Students who apply for early decision have a much better chance of being admitted 조기 전형에 지원하는 학생들은 입학 허가의 기회가 더 많다.

4  Counselors are instructed to remain within a certain financial aid budget for new students 상담자들은 새 학생들에게 확실한 재정 지원 예산의 남은 정도를 알려준다.

5  Apply to several colleges and universities (Around 10 Universities) 여러 대학들 ( 단과대, 종합대 ) 을 지원한다. (10 개 정도 ) 3 Universities should be Reach Universities to gain admittance 3 개 대학은 입학 허가가 어려운 곳으로 3 Universities should be Moderate Universities to gain admittance 3 개 대학은 입학 허가가 보통인 곳으로 4 Universities should be Easier Universities to gain admittance 4 개 대학은 입학 허가가 쉬운 곳으로

6  Apply for Early Decision-Even if you do not get accepted early, you might gain admittance later 조기 전형에 지원한다 - 일찍 입학 허가가 나지 않아도, 늦게 허가가 날 수 있다.  Demonstrate interest in all communications with the University. Communicating disinterest may cause the Counselor to not admit you! 대학과 모든 의사소통 방식으로 관심을 보인다. 흥미를 보이지 않으면 대학이 학생을 선발하지 않을 수도 있다 !

7  Do not apply for Financial Aid unless it is absolutely necessary 절대적으로 필요하지 않는 이상 재정지원서를 내지 않는다.  Understand that the selection process is complex, competitive, and unpredictable! 선발 과정이 복잡하고, 경쟁적이며, 예측불가함을 이해한다 !
