7  The Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) is a general- purpose modeling package  Simulates 1,2 & 3-D flow, transport, and biogeochemical processes in surface water systems (rivers, streams, lakes, estuaries, coastal waters and open ocean)  EFDC model was originally developed at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science  EFDC is a public domain model  EFDC_DSI is Dynamic Solutions-International’s enhanced and optimized version The EFDC Model

20  EFDC_Explorer(EE) is a pre-and post-processing tool developed by DSI for two versions of EFDC:  EFDC_DSI (Primary model)  EFDC_GVC/EFDC/EPA(Legacy applications)  EE7 significantly streamlines the modeling process:  model Input Preparation  Use of 2D GIS type information to define and edit model inputs  Context Sensitive Point & Click access to cell propertise and BC assignments  EE7 provides a significantly enhanced yet simpler interface than previous versions of EE What is EFDC_Explorer?
