▣ Power consumption of TV set 【 제 9회 평판디스플레이 표준화기반구축사업 워크샵 】 ▶ 진행경과 설명 Dr. Weber (Joint TC100) -. 소비전력을 측정하기 위한 패턴을 5개국 (미국 일본 영국 호주 네덜란드)의 도움을 받아 40hr분량의 화면을 PDP APL 분석을 통해 10분 분량의 파워 측정 비디오를 만들었음. - 5개국의 화면을 분석하여 Image Histogram을 만들었으며 그것을 대표할 수 있는 화면을 뽑아서 10분 분량 Test video를 만들었음. - 미국의 Energy star에서는 2008년 9월부터 이 패턴 비디오를 사용해서 Energy-star 라벨 사용여부를 결정한다고 함. ▣ Exchange information 【 제 9회 평판디스플레이 표준화기반구축사업 워크샵 】 시장동향(SID 2007, business conference 자료) - Dr. Weber 1) TV시장은 타 디스플레이(Desktop monitor, Mobile phone, Notebook PC)에 대비하여 가장 크게 성장함. 2002년 6%에서 2006년 36%를 차지함. 2) FPD TV Market Share (2007, 1Q) -. 일본 : 87% / 유럽 : 70% / 북미 : 65% / 중국 : 19% 3) 50인치 이상 시장은 북미시장에서는 2005~ Q까지 70~80%를 유지하고 있으나 나머지 국가에선 Q까지 10% Under를 보이고 있다. 4) 40~44인치 LCD는 Q를 기점으로 PDP 판매량을 앞서고 있으며 각국에서 강한 Market share 증가 경향성을 보이고 있다. 5) 50인치 이상의 PDP는 전 세계에서 급격한 증가를 보이고 있지만, 년 말부터 유럽과 일본에서는 LCD 출현으로 판매 감소 경향을 보이고 있다. ▣ Exchange information 【 제 9회 평판디스플레이 표준화기반구축사업 워크샵 】 시장동향(SID 2007, business conference 자료) - Dr. Weber 6) 46~47” LCD와 50”PDP는 가격 Gap을 $600~$950정도로 유지하고 있으며 Gap유지. 7) LCD 시장은 2004년 1Q 3%에서 2007년 1Q 32%까지 증가하였으나 마진은 각각 29%에서 %로 급격히 감소하고 있다. 8) 42” PDP와 LCD 가격차이가 2007년 들어 Gap을 늘려가고 있으며 약 $100 Gap을 유지할 것으로 보임. 9) APDC (Advanced PDP Development Center Corp PDP 잠재 기술력 소개 -. 효율향상 및 Cost saving -. 32” FHD 1080p 제작 가능 현재 2.0 lm/W 대비 4~5배 증가한 10 lm/W 고효율 달성 -. 밝기는 2배 증가, Contrast는 4배 증가 -. ▣ Exchange information 【 제 9회 평판디스플레이 표준화기반구축사업 워크샵 】 유럽 Information by Dr.Tolner of Netherland “ Do not buy PDP, LCD is more energy saving 30% than PDP” 1) BBC News -. 소비전력으로 보면 CRT TV는 3.4W/inch, PDP는 9.4W/inch -. 같은 Philips에서의 PDP도 240 W, 380W 모델에 따라 다르게 나타남. -. Power saving mode에 의해 많은 전력이 문제가 될 정도로 소비되고 있음 → 이와 관련 Philips에서 Standby 전력 규격을 2008년도 1W에서 0.1W로 조정예정 -. 전시매장보다 TV가 실제 사용되는 가정에서는 좀더 어두운 환경에서 전력을 15% 줄일 수 있으며, Echo-mode 사용을 권장. -. 소비자들의 댓글 : 소비전력 차이에 의해 5년간 1000 파운드를 줄일 수 있고, CO2 가스 배출량도 줄인다. -. 기후 변화를 연구하는 Ekins 교수는 “기후를 변화시키는 주역중의 하나가 PDP”라고 주장 하면서 Engey 비효율 라벨을 사용할 것을 주장함. -. Plasma TV는 CRT보다 2배 크고, 4배의 Power를 소비하고 있다. -. CRT는 100 kg/year로 25파운드 이지만 PDP는 400 kg/year 100파운드를 지불해야 함. -. 유럽은 소비전력에 따라 Tax 또는 규제가 있을 수 있다. 별첨3 【 제 9회 평판디스플레이 표준화기반구축사업 워크샵 】 The electrical interface of PDP module is a power sequence and a digital interface of PDP module. The power sequence of PDP module is power on- and off-sequence of all power supplies in and to PDP module. The power on- and off-sequence of PDP module shall be fully described in each relevant specification. The digital signal interface is either an LVDS, a TTL or a TMDS interface, whose signal encodes the digital video data and function control signals. Function control signal, which is the additional signal, except digital video signal, to control the functions such as APL, shall be fully described in each detail specification. The interface configuration, input signal definition, pin assignment, input signal timing and power requirement shall be described in each detail specification.
