4 Course Description This is a Conversational English class. 본 수업은 영어회화수업입니다. Learning will take place in the classroom and online through the MyELT homework system. 학습은 강의실과 마이ELT과제시 스템을 통한 온라인 시스템을 통해 이루어 질 것입니다.

You NEED to buy it from the book store because you cannot get an “access code” if you buy it online. 인터넷에서 사시면 마이 ELT 가입코드를 받을 수 없으니까, 꼭 서점에서 사 야 됩니다. You will FAIL if you photocopy the textbook. 책을 사는 것 대신 복사하 면 무조건 F를 받을 것이 다.

Attendance 20% (출석상황): If you are absent you must bring a doctor's note or a note from your department chair, or in extreme personal circumstances from your parents. The note must have an actual “red stamp” and not be a photocopy. 만약 부모님 으로 부터의 갑작스러운 연락 또는 개인적 사정 에 의한 경우 또는 병결에 의한 결석은 반드시 담당의사로 부터의 진단서 원본 또는 학과장님 의 확인서 원본을 받아 오셔야 합니다.

Attendance 20% (출석상황): IF YOU MISS A CLASS AND YOU DON’T BRING A NOTE YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOSE 2 PROFESSOR’S CHOICE POINTS AND 1 ATTENDANCE POINT. 담당의사로 부터의 진단서 원본 또는 학과장님의 확인서 원본이 없는 경우, 수업을 결석하면 3점 감점합니다. (2점은 교수님 선택점수이고, 1점은 출석 점수 입니다.) A PHARMACY NOTE DOES NOT COUNT! 약국에서 얻은 증명서가 효력이 없습니다.

Prof’s Choice 20% (과제물) The professor will choose how to assess these 20 points. 교수님이 이 20%학점을 어떤 식으로 분배하는지를 결정할 수 있다. 20 points for vocabulary quizzes 20점은 어휘 퀴즈 You will receive a list of 250 vocabulary words. 250 어휘단어 리스트는 교양학부 온라인 페이지에서 확인할 수 있습니다 There will be 10 quizzes this semester, with 10 words on each quiz. Each quiz will be worth 2 points. 한학기에 10번의 어휘 시험 있고,각 시험당 만점은 2점이므로 10번의 시험에서 받을수있는 토탈 점수는 20점 입니다

20 Rules 학급규칙 1. DO NOT use your cell phone in class at all.
수업 시간에는 개인용 휴대전화를 사용하지 마십시요. 2. If you leave the class for a bathroom break, make sure to do it politely and according to the professor’s instructions. 만약 수업시간 중 화장실에 가야 할 경우 교수 님께 정중히 양해를 구하고 교수님의 허락하 에 화장실에 다녀오시길 바랍니다.

21 Rules 학급규칙 3. Do not leave the class at any time without your professor's permission, unless it is an emergency, or if you are suddenly very sick. 갑자기 심함통증으로 인하여 아프거타 긴 급한 상황이 아닐 경우를 제외한 나머지는 교수님의 허락 없이 교실을 떠나지 마십시 요.

22 Rules 학급규칙 4. If you are late you may be marked late. If you are later than 30 minutes you may not be allowed to enter the class and may be marked absent. 수업 시작 후 30분 이내의 늦으면 지각으로 간주하고, 30분 후에 늦으면 강의실에 못 들 어갈 수 있고 결석으로 간주 합니다.

23 Rules 학급규칙 5. You should not speak Korean in a loud manner in the class. Some professors allow no Korean at all. Please first ask them "Is Korean OK sometimes?" if they say no you have to use English only, and if you have a question ask another student after class, or the teacher, or raise your hand and ask the professor if you may ask a friend in the class who has good English.

24 Rules 학급규칙 5. 여러분은 수업시간에 큰소리로 한국어로 이야 기 하지 마세요. 몇몇의 교수님께서는 한국어 사용을 전혀 사용하지 못하도록 금지 하실수 도 있습니다. 먼저 교수님에게 “한국어 사용이 괞찬습니까?”라고 질문하십시요. 만약 교수님 이 반대할 경우 영어만을 사용하셔야 합니다. 그리고 만약 질문이 있을 경우 수업 마치 후에 급우와 교수님에게 물어보거나 수업 중에 교 수님에게 손을 들어 질문하시고 수업을 듣는 그룹안에서 영어에 능통한 급우가 있을경우 따로 질문을 하시기 바랍니다.

25 Rules 학급규칙 6. No laughing at other students when they are trying to speak English. 영어로 말하려고 노력하고 있는 다른 학생들을 보 고 웃지 않는다. 7. No food and or drinks are allowed in class. 강의중 음식과 음료수를 금지합니다.
