The Mexico Citizens Council for Public Security recently published a list of the fifty most dangerous cities in the world. Forty-one of the fifty cities are located in Latin America. The high rate of murder and violence in Latin America is mainly attributable to drug trafficking, gangs, political instability, corruption, and poverty.
