인터넷 관련기술을 사용해서 구축한 조직내 정보 시스템 사용자는 browser로 업무처리, 운영관리 용이 Firewall내의 Internet System으로 구분, 제한된 인력이 활용 기업의 업무와 연계하여 생산성 제고

한 조직이 소유하고 있는 하부구조 이용, 현재 internet에서 사용하고 있는 기술을 응용 주 처리 대상은 효율적 문서작성/처리/배포를 목적 Web server를 이용, 서로 다른 hardware/Software 상관없이 정보 공유가능 문서, 화상에서 동영상, 소리등의 Web Page 로 관심이 이동

Share 나 free software이 많다. 한정된 공간에서 network 환경을 기반으로 www의 장점 활용, 지금까지보다 훨씬 효율적으로 network System 구축 단점 설치시 많은 비용 새로운 software나 Hardware 구입시 적지않은 비용과 노력이 들고, 사용을 위한 재교육이 필요

Keep up news about new versions of the software that you use Teach the users of the intranet how to use , Web browers, and other intranet facilities Make regular backups of all the servers and workstations on the intranet
