3 사랑도 하였고 21세 때 결혼했지만 남편이 폭력을 휘둘러 9개월 만에 헤어졌다. 그 때 그녀는 “그럴 수도 있는것이지...”
누구라도 좌절할 수밖에 없는 상황이었지만, 그는 어린 시절부터 관심이 있던 미술공부를 뒤늦게 시작했다. 그녀는 운전면허도 받았다. 1994년 그녀는 university of Brighton의 미대 최우수 졸업생 명단에 실렸다.

6 Alison Lapper, MBE born 7 April 1965 in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire English artist member of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists of the World (AMFPA). May 2003, Lapper was created an MBE for her services for art.
