14 1. 사전조사 – Things to note 이미 결과물 (논문)이 나온 Topic들은 학과의 ongoing project가 아닐 수 있음 Bulletin 에 나와 있는 Thesis topic은 보통 구체적이지 않거나 outdated 렉쳐때 흘러가는 말로 자신의 연구 Topic을 일러주시는 분도 있 음 *사견: Topic보단 Team을 보고 고르는 것이 현명!

TDK 발표 내용에 따른 paper 작성 (발표 전/후 언제든 제출해도 무방) Accepted TDK lecture  Defended thesis with 5(excellent) grade Publishing article (SCI/SCIE journals) Labwork, analysis에 참여 했으면 이름이 올라가게 되어 있음 2nd Co-author *사견: Project 자체가 취소/사장되지 않는 이상, 언젠가는 나올 것(?)

Abstract에 나온 내용만 conference에서 발표할 수 있음 발표의 구체적 내용이 12월 말까지는 확실히 정해져야 함 작성 요령: Indicate structural part in every paragraph! E.g. Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion

28 Presentation 1. PPT 구성 보통의 ‘좋은 ppt 만들기’와 크게 다르지 않음  가독성!
줄글로 된 설명 최소화 – figure/animation 활용 Slide summary를 각 슬라이드 제목으로 (선택) Methods and Results, 특히 Results에 많은 slide/시간을 할애

31 Presentation 2. Figures and statistics 숨겨진 감점 포인트
Number of experiments Statistics of the graph (SD, P-value) Statistical significance! – 발표시 용어 선택에 주의 Was reduced/increased: statistical significance 있을 때만! (p<0.05) Statistical significance 없을 경우: Showed increasing/decreasing pattern/tendency 등의 단어로 대체

33 Presentation 3. Time Time limit (10분 or 10분 30초)을 넘기면 무조건 감점
이상적인 발표 길이: 8분 30초 반복 연습 필수 (친구들, 담당 선생님들, 담당 부서원들 앞에서)

심사 위원들이 각 연구의 detail을 자세히 알 수는 없기에, 주로 기본적인 laboratory technique/method에 대한 질문을 함 학생이 정말 연구에 성실하게 참여했는 지를 확인 Clinical implication of the study 발표에 포함시키거나, 반드시 준비해 가야 할 질문 Further plan (follow-up studies) of the group 발표 전 팀원들과 예상 문제에 대한 discussion을 반드시 할 것!
