Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) ? " A collective term embracing a number of clinical problems that involve the masticatory musculature, TMJ, or both " (AAOP, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, 1992) “ A umbrella term to designate the musculoskeletal disorders of the mandibular motor system ” (Bell WE. 1982)

턱관절장애 ? 턱관절장애 (temporomandibular disorders, TMD) 는 저작근 및 측두하악관절부 위의 여러 임상적인 문제를 포함하는 포괄절 용어로, 두개하악장애 (craniomandibular disorders, CMD) 라는 용어와 동의어로 사용됩 니다. 탁관절장애는 구강안면 부위에서 발생하는 비치성통증 (nondental pain) 의 주된 원인으로 알려져 있으며, 근골격장애 (musculoskeletal disorder) 의 하나로 간주 되고 있습니다.
