세포 신호전달체계 - 세포와 세포간, 세포 내에서 신호 교환. 외부자극(신호)에 대한 반응에 따라 세포의 대사, 분비, 신경전달, 성장, 분화, 세포분열, 노화, 죽음 등의 생명현상을 유지할 수 있는 시스템. 분자 수준의 질병의 작용기전을 밝힘으로써 암, 뇌 관련 질병, 면역계 질병, 혈관장애 등 질병치료제의 개발에 응용. 외부 환경의 변화나 자극에 의한 반응. 세포자극물질(agonists)은 세포를 통과하지 못해 세포막에 존재하는 수용체와 결합한 후 세포내부에 있는 신호전달체계를 활성화시키기 위한 이차신호전달물질(second messengers)을 생성 - 이차신호전달물질: cyclic AMP, cyclic GMP
cAMP (cyclic- Adenosine MonoPhosphate) 외부 자극에 의한 세포 내 신호전달 기능 (second messenger) 세포막에 위치한 adenylyl cyclase에 의해 ATP로 부터 합성 당, 지질 대사 등의 조절 기능 효소 활성화 촉진.
cGMP (cyclic- Guanidine MonoPhosphate) 외부 자극에 의한 세포 내 신호전달 기능 (second messenger) 세포막에 위치한 guanylate cyclase에 의해 GTP로 부터 합성 세포 내 protein kinase에 의해 활성 세포 내 세포사멸에 작용 혈관 확장 기능.
