종류 Chromatic aberrations Monochromatic aberrations
Spherical aberration : 광축에 있는 물체점이 만드는 것 Coma, astigmatism : 비축에 있는 물체점이 만드는 것 Petzval field curvature : 초면이 곡면이 된다. 상의 질에는 영향이 없다. Distortion : transverse magnification이 위치에 따라 다르기 때문. 이것 역시 상의 질에는 영향을 미치지 않는다.

Coma Tangential coma 자오면 코마(그림에서 0-1) Sagittal coma 구결면 코마(그림에서 0-3)
경계면(또는 렌즈)에서의 위치 위 점들에 상응하는 상면에서의 위치

Astigmatism 비점수차 자오광선이 구결광선보다 초점거리가 짧다. Tangential and sagittal focus

Petzval field curvature
초면이 평면이 아니다. 이 면을 Petzval surface라고 한다. 비점 수차를 고려하면 평면이 아닌 두 개의 초면을 생각할 수 있다. 볼록, 오목 렌즈를 조합해서 이 면을 평면으로 만들 수 있다. = Petzval condition

Distortion 횡배율 MT가 광축에 수직인 방향으로 일정하지 않기 때문에 생긴다.
바늘꽂이 왜곡 pincushion distortion = + distortion 통 왜곡 barrel distortion = - distortion

실제로는 5개의 수차가 합쳐져 나타난다.
