4 1. 강조용법 It was I that met him yesterday. I do like him.
문장 전체나 문장의 일부분을 강조하고 싶을 때 사용합니다. It was I that met him yesterday. 어제 그를 만난 사람은 바로 나였습니다. (I를 강조) I do like him. 나는 그를 정말로 좋아합니다. (동사 like를 강조)

문장의 일부를 강조하고자 할 경우, 강조할 부분을 It is〔was〕와 that 사이에 놓습니다.  I met her in the park yesterday. 나는 어제 공원에서 그녀를 만났습니다. ① It was I that met her in the park yesterday. ② It was her that I met in the park yesterday. ③ It was in the park that I met her yesterday. ④ It was yesterday that I met her in the park.

8 1. 주의할 점 She saw the man enter the house last night.
강조할 수 있는 품사는 명사, 대명사, 부사 (단어, 구, 절) 등입니다. that은 관계사 who(m), which, when, where로 대체 가능합니다. She saw the man enter the house last night. 그녀는 어젯밤에 그 남자가 집에 들어가는 것을 봤습니다. ① It was last night when she saw the man enter the house.

완전한 문장 It is true that he finally passed the exam. 그가 결국 시험에 합격한 것은 사실입니다. (It: 가주어, that절: 진주어) It is he that finally passed the exam. 결국 시험에 합격한 사람은 그입니다. (It ~ that 강조 구문) 불완전한 문장

13 보 충 문 제 다음 중 틀린 설명을 골라 봅시다. 「It ~ that」 강조 구문은 명사, 대명사, 동사 등을 강조할 수 있습니다. 「It ~ that」 강조 구문에서 that은 다른 관계사들로 바꿀 수 있습니다. 「It ~ that」 강조 구문에서 that 이하는 불완전한 문장이 옵니다.

다음 중 「It ~ that」 강조 구문이 쓰인 문장을 찾아 봅시다. Was it you that called me yesterday? It is hard that I make him clean his room. It was bad that you failed the exam.

「It ~ that」 구문을 사용하여 다음 밑줄 친 부분을 강조해 봅시다. I want to marry this woman in May. Jack broke the window. It is this woman that I want to marry in May. It was Jack that broke the window.

16 It was my bag that I lost after having lunch at the restaurant.
기 본 문 제 I met her in the park yesterday. 4) I lost my bag after having lunch at the restaurant. It was in the park that I met her yesterday. It was my bag that I lost after having lunch at the restaurant.

17 It was Tom that swam in the pool.
심 화 문 제 우리말에 맞게 「It ~ that」 강조 구문을 사용하여 문장을 완성해 봅시다. 내가 남편을 만났던 곳은 바로 이 도서관이었다. 그 수영장에서 수영을 했던 사람은 바로 Tom이었다. It was in this library that I met my husband. It was Tom that swam in the pool.

심 화 문 제 3) 내가 어제 샀던 것은 바로 그 책이었다. 그가 나에게 보냈던 것은 꽃이었다. 나를 신나게 만드는 것은 바로 이 컴퓨터 게임이다. It was the book that I bought yesterday. It was the flower that he sent me. It is this computer game that makes me excited.
