CPF VO2max 추정 알고리즘 B0+B1*f1 (x1)+B2*f2 (x2)+…+Bn*fn (xn) = y Devices: Our device: HR, HRV, raw acceleration (chest) FitBit: HR, HRV, steps (wrist), intensity (wrist), calories Actiheart: HR, HRV, intensity (chest), calories (varies by model) Subject variables: age, weight, height, waist circumference, gender, smoking Has been done before… except for calories

CPF: new ideas for algorithm VO2max 추정 알고리즘 B0+B1*f1 (x1)+B2*f2 (x2)+…+Bn*fn (xn) = y Concepts: Subject variability in basal metabolic rate (BMR): high BMR = greater VO2max ? How to characterize “intensity” of movement? Both Actiheart and FitBit estimates intensity Low movement: how does it affect VO2max?
9
CPF: new ideas for algorithm
BMR can be predicted from weight, height, and age many previous studies on BMR estimation Mifflin-St Jeor (1990): 82% within 10% error range, maximal underestimation by 18% overestimation by 15% Estimation algorithm seems to be sensitive to population Intensity Use Actiheart branched tree algorithm: balance between HR & acceleration Low movement Previous study has shown that increased bed rest led to decreased VO2max (Convertino VA, 1997)
