Today’s Aims We are able to express our wishes. We are able to use ‘I wish I could…’ in our writings. We are able to use ‘If I could~, I would’ in our writings.

[1] I am often late for school because of traffic jams [1] I am often late for school because of traffic jams. [2] I wish I could fly. [3] If I could fly, I would be able to get to school on time. [4] I would fly to my classroom on the 5th floor without using the stairs. [5] Then I would go into my classroom through the window. 2) I wish I could see the future. 3) If I could see the future, I would be able to win the lottery.

The problems they can solve I wish I could… The problems they can solve I wish I could talk to animals I can’t communicate with my dog. If I could talk to animals, I would communicate with my dog.

Talking to Arong [1] I love Arong, my dog, but we cannot communicate very well. When Arong is hungry, she barks. When Arong runs away, I call her. We talk to each other, but we can only communicate simple things. I often wonder what she is really thinking when she looks out the window. I wonder if she really understands when I tell her about my problems. I would like to be able to communicate more with Arong, so I wish I could talk to animals.

Talking to Arong [2] If I could talk to animals, I would ask Arong many questions and teach her useful things. I would ask her what kind of food she likes and why she is afraid of the vacuum cleaner. I would teach her how to use the TV. I would also tell her about the boy that I like. If we could communicate, we would be able to share the important things in our lives.
