분사구문 A → 분사가 이끄는 구를 분사구문이라고 하며, 시간, 조건, 이유, 양보, 동시동 작 등의 뜻을 나타낸다. 분사구문은 「접속사 + 주어 + 동사」로 이루어진 부사절을 「동사원형 +-ing ~ 」 형태의 부사구로 줄인 것이다. 이때 생략되 는 접속사에 따라 뜻이 달라진다. ex) Hearing the news(= When he heard the news), he dropped down on the floor from shock.
